Roller block for supporting a cylindrical workpiece, especially a container and/or a large-size pipe section, in association with the execution of machining measures on the workpiece, having a box framework, lateral jibs on the box framework and two sets of supporting rollers attached to the box framework and having at least two supporting rollers connected via an axle or shaft, of which sets of supporting rollers at least one is adjustable or shiftable in the longitudinal direction of the box framework and fixable in different positions. The box framework consists of a single rectangular box girder, the long rectangle axis of which is arranged vertically. The sets of supporting rollers are attached to the rectangular box girder in a slide-like manner. The rectangular box girder projects underneath the axis of the supporting rollers into the region between the supporting rollers.
