PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material having high sensitivity and preservability, excellent in water resistance and reduced in background fog. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material obtained by providing a thermal recording layer containing a colorless or light-colored electron donating color forming dye, 4,4'-bis(p-toluensulfonylaminocarbonylamfno) diphenylmethane being an electron acceptive acidic substance reacting with the dye under heating to develop a color, petroleum wax and methylolated fatty acid amide on at least the single surface of a sheet like support, an ammonium salt of diisobutylene/maleic anhydride copolymer is added to the thermal recording layer. |
