PURPOSE:To provide a sodium hypochlorite forming device capable of efficiently separating gaseous hydrogen from a sodium hypochlorite soln., capable of preventing the infiltration of hydrogen into the soln., with the pressure fluctuation reduced, capable of obviating the damage to the gas vent valve of a gas-liq. separator and generation of an abnormal sound and further capable of preventing the injection of the sodium hyprochlorite soln. from this vent valve. CONSTITUTION:This sodium hypochlorite forming device is provided with an internal pressure-type closed electrolytic cell 8 for electrolyzing a dil. brine to form a sodium hypochlorite soln. and a gas-liq. separator 13 for separating the gaseous hydrogen generated in the cell 8 from the soln., the separator 13 has a gas vent valve 98 on the upper side and a float 93 on the lower side to open or close the valve 98 in accordance with the level of the soln., and the upper sides and lower sides of the cell 8 and main body 89 of the separator are respectively connected. |
