POLYMER SYSTE, ITS PRODUCTION, AND ITS USE AS BINDER OF PRINTING INK

Amino-containing polymer systems which are suitable for the preparation of binders (vehicles) for printing inks can be obtained by synthesising a polymer or polymer mixture A from at least one compound from each of the following groups: (a) epoxides, carbonates and epoxide carbonates, (b) amines and (c) phenols, and at least partially neutralising the resultant polymer or polymer mixture A and transferring it into water, and optionally preparing a water-insoluble polymer B by polymerisation of ethylenically unsaturated monomers in the presence of the polymer or polymer mixture A.
