A fastening device for fastening of a signboard (13) or the like is described. Especially relevant is mounting of road signboards at vertical poles (7) with circular cross section. The fastening device comprises a loop (1, 2, 3) arranged to partly embrace the pole and to hold, at its both ends, the signboard, a stretching means (11, 12) usually a screw being provided to stretch the loop against the pole so that the signboard is held permanently fixed against the latter. The fastening device is especially characterized in that a yielding element (4) is fastened to the loop, arranged to hold the signboard temporarily in position against the pole when mounted, to be hold permanently against the pole by the stretching means when this is stretched. |
