<p>PURPOSE:To improve the maintenance property and feeding performance of a sheet feeding device correcting the curvature of a sheet with a sheet pressing member pressed to the upper face of the sheet when sheets such as printing paper stacked on a sheet hold section such as a tray or a cassette are fed to a sheet conveying mechanism by a pick-up roller. CONSTITUTION:This sheet feeding device is provided with a member support mechanism 21 supporting a sheet pressing member 19 movably in the vertical direction and selectively arranging it at a lower position to be pressed to the upper face of a sheet 6 mounted on a sheet hold section 4 and an upper position to be separated from it. The curvature of the fed sheet 6 is corrected by the sheet pressing member 19 arranged at the lower position. When the sheets 6 are supplied or the jam process is implemented, the sheet pressing member 19 is arranged at the upper position.</p> |
