METHOD FOR PRODUCING SUEDE-LIKE WOVEN FABRIC

PURPOSE:To provide a method for producing a uniform suede-like woven fabric excellent in tightened fabric touch and good in elasticity. CONSTITUTION:This method for producing a suede-like woven fabric comprises weaving sheath-core type double layer structure yarns as warp groups and/or weft groups, generating the crimps of conjugate filaments and subsequently dissolving or dividing at least a part of split type conjugate fibers and/or sea- island type conjugate fibers to form ultrafine fibers. The sheath-core type double layer structure yarns each comprises the conjugate filaments arranged in the core part and the split type conjugate fibers and/or sea-island type conjugate fibers which can be divided into the ultrafine fibers and which are arranged in the sheath part. The conjugate filaments have a crimp-expressing ability capable of thermally expressing three-dimensional crimps.
