LUBRICANT COMPOSITION FOR DIESEL ENGINE

PURPOSE:To obtain a lubricant compsn. which does not emit a particulate substance into an exhaust gas during driving a diesel engine. CONSTITUTION:A lube base oil contg. 20wt.% or higher liq. hydrocarbon polymer having a number average mol.wt. of 1,000 or lower and a ratio of wt. average mol.wt. to number average mol.wt. of 1.5 or lower is used. The lubricant compsn. is obtd. by compounding this base oil with 0.3-10wt.% perbasic calcium sulfonate and 0.1-7.0wt.% perbasic calcium phenate (both amts. are based on the total wt. of the compsn.).
