The present invention relates to reservoirs with a delivery surface for the controlled delivery of active substances decreasing over the time of use to: solid, liquid or gaseous acceptors and whereby at, at least one point of the reservoir, a cross-sectional surface of the reservoir is parallel to and smaller than the delivery surface. The present invention also relates to an apparatus for the controlled delivery of active substances decreasing over the time of use, which has at least one reservoir, as well as to the use of the inventive apparatus in technology, human and veterinary medicine, cosmetics and pest control. According to the present invention at least one active substance to be delivered is active in the technical, human and veterinary medical, cosmetic and pest control.
