PURPOSE:To make appearance of an autoclave better and to make handling easier by equalizing the chamber opening dimension of the autoclave to the lid dimension to make the front side of the autoclave almost within an identical plane and lightening the weight of the lid. CONSTITUTION:An autoclave has a casing 1 with a chamber 3 to contain a member to be sterilized and an openable lid to close an opening of the chamber 3, and generates high pressure steam by heating water in the chamber 3 to sterilize a member to be sterilized. The dimension of the openable lid 2, especially the dimension of an out-fitting lid 2b, is formed almost equal to the opening of the chamber 3 to make possible the surface of the out-fitting lid part 2b to be in an identical plane with the surface of the casing 1. |
