PURPOSE:To obtain a metal carrier easy in winding and capable of being produced by a reduced number of devices. CONSTITUTION:Metal foil 11 formed by alternately providing flat plate parts 101,-100+n and corrugated plate parts 201,-200+n at every almost one round or almost one layer is wound or laminated to the other metal foil 11 so that the flat plate parts and the corrugated plate parts are superposed one upon another to be bonded at the contact parts thereof to mold a metal carrier. The metal foil 11 is obtained, for example, by alternately bonding flat plates and corrugated plates. The contact parts of the flat plate parts and the corrugated plates are bonded by laser welding, resistance welding or soldering. In wound type metal carrier, the lengths L, W of the flat plate parts and the corrugated plate parts and/or the height 11 of the ridge parts of the corrugated plate parts are pref. set so as to become large toward the outer periphery from the center part thereof. |
