PURPOSE:To disperse the deposit formed in the vicinity of the inlet of a second reactor and to improve the efficient in using the second reactor by providing a passage switching valve for reversing the flow direction of a gas generated in the reactor and a reversed flow pipeline connected to the valve in the inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the second reactor. CONSTITUTION:A first reactor 1 to reduce carbon dioxide with hydrogen, a separator 3 to separate water from the product of the first reactor 1 and a second reactor 4 to catalytically decompose the gaseous product freed from water in the separator 3 are connected in series to constitute this carbon dioxide reducing device. The passage switching valves 8a...8d for reversing the direction of the gaseous product in the reactor 4 and the reversed flow pipelines 9a and 9b connected to the valves are provided in both the inlet and outlet pipelines connected to the second reactor 4. Consequently, the deposit formed in the vicinity of the inlet of the second reactor is dispersed, and the second reactor is used more efficiently. |
