PURPOSE:To provide a method and a nozzle for laser beam cutting where the cutting efficiency is improved by increasing the cutting speed. CONSTITUTION:A nozzle 11 is provided with a main passage 12 to guide the laser beam and the assist gas formed toward the tip part, and an expanded opening part 14 which is communicated with the main passage 12 at the tip of the main passage 12, whose sectional area is larger than that of the tip of the main passage 12, and whose tip is opened. The assist gas is ejected from the nozzle 11, and at the same time, the air or the inert gas is involved in the outer circumferential part of the assist gas to form the desired region of the assist gas of high content in the center of the assist gas. |
