PURPOSE:To prevent a power supply member and linear electrode from being worn by constituting the power supply member for feeding electricity to the leaner electrodes arranged on the periphery of a toner carrier of a conductive rotating body rotationally coming into contact with the periphery of the carrier. CONSTITUTION:The power supply member 10 rotationally comes into contact with the periphery of the end part of the toner carrier 7 so as to selectively impress voltage from an electrode feeding power supply to the linear electrodes 8. In an area 12 to be developed on the periphery of the center part of the carrier 7, the electrodes 8 are arrayed in a parallel state with fixed intervals, and in a feeding area 14 on the periphery of one end part of the carrier 7, plural electrodes are arranged as a spirally oblique pattern so as to obliquely intersect with the axial direction of a rotating shaft 13 for the carrier 7. In the area 12, electrodes 8b for turning toner to a cloud state are arranged between respective electrodes 8a to which voltage is impressed by the power supply member 10. |
