PURPOSE:To provide an electromagnetic cooker so constructed that its thin top plate resists cracking. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of ribs 1 each made of a thin copper plate are held in position by an insulating support 2 with their main surfaces arranged opposite and parallel to each other at predetermined intervals. Each of the ribs 1 minimizes the influence of an induction field by orienting one of its vertical sides toward a heating coil 10. Also, the ribs have their other vertical sides flush with one another and abutting to the back side of a top plate 11, so as to secure cooling space and to function as reinforcing plates for the top plate 1. |
