PURPOSE:To apply scrambling/de-scrambling to data without use of an A/D converter section, a D/A converter section and a memory. CONSTITUTION:An image pickup area consisting of a photo diode 3 as a photosensing element in response to a picture element is in existence and a charge generated depending on a luminous quantity of each picture element is sent to a vertical CCD 2 one after another. The charge for one scanning line is outputted sequentially from an output terminal as a video signal by a horizontal CCD 4. Normally a direction of reading the video signal from the horizontal CCD 4 of a CCd image pickup element 1 is only one direction. A CCD driver 7 is controlled by a scramble circuit 6 in an optional direction, a horizontal video signal whose left right sides are reversed is obtained. Scrambling is attained by putting the video signal in a frame into pieces by utilizing it. |
