PURPOSE:To prohibit guidance of the information on the next crossing with voice in the time when a steering wheel rotating angle is over a specified limit, by providing an angle sensor to detect a steering wheel rotating angle according to the degree of steering wheel operation of a vehicle. CONSTITUTION:It is judged whether a steering wheel is being operated or not based on a steering wheel angle signal detected by an angle sensor 7. When a vehicle is located at point A, a detected angle signal does not exceed a specified angle because a car is running rectilinearly. Therefore, a message 'Turn to the left at the next crossing B' under which guidance can be started is output. Next a message 'Turn to the right at the next crossing C' on the crossing C is ready for starting. While the vehicle is turning to the left, the detected angle signal exceeds a specified limit. Therefore, a message on the crossing C is prohibited. Then, when the turning to the left at the crossing B has been completed, the judgment that the steering wheel is being operated is eliminated and the prohibition of message output is canceled. |
