PURPOSE:To obtain a separation lug not causing the filming even at the time of using a toner whose softening point temperature is <80 deg.C by specifying the curvature of the most leading end part of the lug in contact with an image carrier. CONSTITUTION:The fixing part 3 of the separation lug 1 fixed to a photosensitive drum is pivoted by a spindle and attracted by a taut spring at a charging point. The tip part 2 of the lug 1 is abutted upon the drum and the radius R of curvature of the most leading end part contacting with the drum out of the tip part of the lug 1 is <=0.04mm. The radius R of curvature is a right contour radius part out of an area shown by hatching in an enlarged drawing obtained by observing the tip part 2 downward, i.e., concretely the radius shown by a mark R.
