The safety signal comprises a row of lamps on the rear and sides of a vehicle. The vehicle rear may be fitted with a row of stars in two colours, blue stars illuminated when moving at a slow speed and red stars flashing when the vehicle is stopped. The blue stars may be extinguished when the vehicle is stopped. Heavy vehicles, or coaches, may have permanent pink stars, indicating the size of the vehicle with red stars flashing intermittently, when the vehicle is stopped. |
