Double deck motor way system

The system is characterised by two superposed roadways (1,2) each comprising two separated carriageways (3,4,5,6) allowing traffic flow in opposing directions. The lower roadway ( 1) is designed to carry heavy vehicles such as lorries and vehicles with hazardous cargoes. The upper roadway (2) carries light vehicles such as cars and motorcycles. The lower roadway (1) is at ground level while the upper roadway (2) is fabricated from reinforced concrete supported on a longitudinal central wall (15) with the edges of the roadway supported by posts (24, 25)
