METHOD FOR POLARIZING PIEZOELECTRIC ELEMENT

PURPOSE:To provide a piezoelectric element polarizing method by which the piezoelectric characteristic of a piezoelectric element can be sufficiently drawn out without using such a material that may destroy the environment and by preventing the occurrence of dielectric breakdown. CONSTITUTION:A piezoelectric element is polarized by applying a prescribed DC voltage across the element for a prescribed period of time after raising the temperature of the element to a prescribed level in a high insulating gas. As a result, a piezoelectric element sufficiently having with an aimed piezoelectric characteristic can be obtained.
