PURPOSE:To carry a recording material to a fixing device executing a fixation at the plural kinds of fixing speed without making a device large by post- rotating a recording material carrier in order to change the circumferential speed thereof to the first circumferential speed from the second circuimferential speed after the recording material is separated from the recording material carrier. CONSTITUTION:At a continuous image forming, the forming action of a latent image is started after the post-rotation for returning the speed of a transfer drum 5a and a photoreceptive drum 1 to the first circumferential speed from the second circumferential speed again is executed. That means, the speed is returned to the first circumferential speed in the midst of the next rotation of the rotating cycle of the drum 5a which is rotated at the second circumferential speed and which executes a separating action (actually rotated at the second circumferential speed until it is separated). Then, the latent image of a first color (m) is formed. Similarly, the images of (c), (y) and (k) are formed in turn. By using such a sequence, a comparatively inexpensive motor can be used and excellent fixation can be secured without making the whole of the device large. |
