Division H1] A sodium vapour discharge lamp (see Division H1) has an envelope of a specified lime glass with a 30Á thick inner coating either of a specified borate glass which is rendered-porous by leaching and/or chemical reaction or with an initially porous covering layer. Examples refer to rinsing with an aqueous solution of HC1 or with a-solution of H 2 SO 4 and H 3 BO 3 , or wetting with a colloidal solution of rod-shaped particles of alumina. Three barium borate glasses are given within the following ranges: BaO 20-32; B 2 O 3 26-32; CaO 17-24; MgO 2À3-18; A1 2 O 3 6-20; SiO 2 0 or 6; Na 2 O 0 or 6.</p> |
