PURPOSE:To avoid the destruction of data of a block by completing writing by the unit of the block even when a channel controller check-stops while data transfer concerning an I/O interface control method and a computer system at the time of check-stop of the channel controller. CONSTITUTION:At the time of detecting abnormality in the channel controller 13, a check stop signal is sent to a channel device 17. The channel device 17 controls to complete an I/O operation which is presently executed and not to start a new I/O operation. On the other hand, the check stop signal is transmitted to a main storage controller 11 by delaying by prescribed time and the main storage controller 11 separates the channel controller 13 and the channel device 17 at the time of receiving it, so as to control data transfer to be interrupted. |
