PURPOSE:To enable continuous control of a regenerative brake circuit over a wide speed range without an additional apparatus by providing a first switching means for supplying AC power from a current collector to a pulse width modulated converter, and a regenerative brake circuit having a resistor and a second switching means connected in series to each other and connected to the first switching means in parallel after that. CONSTITUTION:At the time of power running, a make command is outputted from a control means 9 to a circuit-breaker 7, and a break command is to the brake contactor 8a of a regenerative brake circuit 8. Then, AC power received by a current collector 1 is stepped down by a transformer 2, and converted into DC power by a PWM converter 3 after that. And this DC power is inverted into three-phase AC power by an inverter 4, and supplied to an induction motor 5. On the other hand, at the time of braking, a brake command is outputted from a control means 9 to the circuit-breaker 7, and a make command to a contactor 8a. As a result, generated energy from the induction motor 5 is consumed in the braking circuit 8 through the the inverter 4 and the converter 3. |
