PURPOSE:To increase the access speed to a frame memory at the time of reading out image data subjected to rotation/mirror image conversion. CONSTITUTION:This image forming device is an image processor is provided with a frame memory 2, where plural address areas are arranged in the vertical scanning direction B orthogonal to the horizontal scanning direction A and each address area consists of words 2a each of which a prescribed number of bits are arranged in the horizontal scanning direction in, and can read out image data written in the frame memory 2 in the rotation/mirror image conversion state while accessing each word 2a in the horizontal scanning direction A, and the number of bits arranged in the vertical scanning direction B to the horizontal scanning direction A in each word 2a is set in accordance with the rotation angle or existence/nonexistence of the mirror image conversion of image data so that the number of bits read by one access to each word 2a is larger than one. Consequently, the processing is realized without a frame memory capable of high-speed processing. |
