<p>PURPOSE: To strongly support an idler gear and to reduce manufacturing and assembling costs in the idler gear support structure for compound gear transmission. CONSTITUTION: An idler shaft 98 is inserted into a hole 96 of a rear shaft support part 94 provided in an intermediate wall 50 between a main change gear part and an auxiliary change gear part and a hole 92 of a shaft support part 66 in front of the hole 96, and a serration 122 is fitted in the hole 96 for fixation. An idler gear 48 is rotatably supported by the idler shaft 98 through bearings 120. An outer surface of the idler shaft 98 forms an inside race of the bearings 120. Since the idler shaft 98 is supported at both ends thereof, the idler gear 48 can be strongly supported. The inside race of the bearing 120s is thereby eliminated, and the idler shaft 98 can be formed at a large diameter. Lubricant is supplied to a bearing 64 of an auxiliary shaft 60 of an auxiliary part arranged on the nearly same shaft through a lubricant passage 100. With this structure, the number of parts item can be reduced, assembling is facilitated, and the manufacturing and assembling costs are lowered.</p> |
