PURPOSE:To provide a sound volume controller for an on-vehicle audio equipment by which the trouble of operating can be eliminated making user drive safely. CONSTITUTION:When a circuit power source is changed from off to on by the depression of a power source switch (steps 101, 105, and 107), the sound volume level before a power source is turned off which is written in a sound volume level setting memory in a step 104 and is the sound volume level in operation just before the power source is turned off is read from the sound volume setting memory (step 18). Next, the sizes of the sound volume level before this power source is turned off and a preliminarily set fixed value are compared (step 109). When the sound volume level before the power source is turned off is below the fixed value, the sound volume level before the power source is turned off is set as the sound volume level as it is (step 110). When it is decided that the sound volume level before the power source is turned off is larger than the fixed value, the preliminarily set fixed sound volume level can be defined as the sound volume level (step 111). |
