PURPOSE:To provide a luminaire which is compact and light weight, which has excellent light distribution property, and in which an error is not generated in the focal position by disposing an auxiliary reflection body in a back part of a support body, and disposing a short-arc HID lamp in the auxiliary reflection body horizontally. CONSTITUTION:An auxiliary reflection body 11 is contained in a back part 7 of a support body 2, and a lamp 12 is disposed horizontally in the auxiliary reflection body 11. For the lamp 12, a double-base type HID lamp, for example, short-arc metal halide lamp of a 2000W double-base type having high color rendering property, for example, is used. This lamp is more compact and has higher color rendering property than a conventional 2000W HID lamp, and it is more like a spot light source. For replacement on the lamp, the back part of the support body only need by separated from a front part to perform replacement work immediately, thereby maintenance is easy. |
