PURPOSE:To provide an image forming device wherein the operability and the workability of maintenance operation including the retreating movement of a toner hopper are improved. CONSTITUTION:The stepped shatfs 42 and 43 of an intermediate member 41 are fitted in U-shaped grooves 52 and 53 formed on the side plate 51 of a hopper unit 16, and the intermediate member 41 is supported by arm shafts 33 and 34 at the edges of an upper arm 31 and a lower arm 32 turnably supported by the supporting shafts 22 and 23 of a supporting base 21 fixed in an image forming device main body. Thus, a link mechanism where the supporting base 21, the upper arm 31, the lower arm 32 and the intermediate member 41 are regarded as four nodes is formed. By setting the length of the nodes to the relation of a=d and b=c, the link mechanism becomes a parallel crank mechanism, and the intermediate member 41 is moved up and down while keeping a horizontal posture by regarding the supporting base 21 as a fixed node, whereby the hopper unit 16 is moved and retreated in an upward direction. |
