<p>PURPOSE:To provide the video tape recorder in which video recording of an undesired video image is decreased, the required video image is recorded clearly and the recorded video image is displayed as a natural reproduced video image. CONSTITUTION:A digital video signal Sb of n-th frame is stored in a picture memory 12 and a video image of (n-1)th frame having been stored is outputted therefrom. A video image comparison section 13 compares the outputted video image with a new n-th frame of the video signal sb and provides an output of a dissident picture element number signal Sd. A dissident picture element averaging section 14 averages the dissident picture element number signal Sd for a prescribed time and provides an output of a motion signal Se for the prescribed time. A video recording speed control section 15 records a video image at a video recording speed of 1 frame, two frames, 4 frames per second according to the motion signal Se and then th drive speed of a video tape slows down to be restored to the same video image again. Thus, in the case of a video image for a high speed object of image pickup, the video recording speed is quickened, and in the case of a video image with a small movement object, the video recording speed slows down.</p> |
