The bender consists of a rectangular base (1) carrying a hydraulic cylinder (2) which is able to move a matrix (3) towards a bending blade (9) when an actuating lever (13) is operated. The matrix has a V-shaped aperture with cylindrical guides (4) at its open end, and the blade (9) is fitted to the base opposite the open end of the matrix. A plate (5) supports the bar to be bent in a position which is perfectly perpendicular to the edge of the bending blade, and it can be equipped with a graduated scale to indicate the angle at which the bar is bent.
