PURPOSE:To prevent an original from being mislaid by constituting this copying device so as not to take out a copy obtained when the original is left on an original platen. CONSTITUTION:When an original is set up on the original platen 2 and copying operation is started by pressing the original by a pressing plate 7, a solenoid is driven by a signal from a control part and a wire drives a cover applied over a paper feeding tray 24 through a flucrum or a spindle. Even when a copy is obtained by copying operation, its copying paper can not be discharged from the tray 24 in the state. When an operator opens the plate 7 after the end of the copying operation, takes out the original and the control part detects that the original is not left on the platen 2 and outputs a signal indicating the detected result, the solenoid is driven and the wire drives the cover so as to open it through the supporting point or the spindle. Consequently the operator can take out the copying paper from the tray 24. |
