PURPOSE:To reduce the unnecessary battery consumption in the place where base stations sparsely exist by transmitting density information from a base station and setting a timer in a radio slave machine in accordance with density information. CONSTITUTION:Density information is transmitted by the report channel intermittently transmitted from the base station. When acquiring the superframe synchronism of the highest reception level, the radio slave machine receives the report channel including base station density information by a radio part 6 and sends this information to a density information analysis part 7, and this part 7 obtains density information corresponding to the density of base stations. However, the radio part 6 reports it to a control part 10 that reception is impossible at the time of superframe reception, and the control part 10 reads out the preceding density information N of a storage part 8. When density information indicates the sparse existance of base stations, the control part 10 sets a timer 11 and tries to acquire the superframe synchronism at the time of expiration of the timer 11, and the state that the slave machine is on the outside of area is displayed on a display part 13 if it fails in acquisition of the synchronism continuously N times. |
