PURPOSE:To evaluate the booting operation of a microcomputer with built-in flash memory and a booting program by emulation. CONSTITUTION:A master microcomputer 1 outputs a signal for executing booting operation by a slave microcomputer 6 to a boot emulation selecting means 8 based on a signal inputted to an emulator and switches connection to a circuit necessary for communication. Booting operation is monitored by acquiring trace information for a control signal and a data signal from a lent boot communication means 9 by a boot trace control means 10 and storing the acquired information in a trace memory 5. In the case of stopping the execution of the booting operation, a stop condition is inputted to a boot emulation brake control means 11 prior to booting, and when the condition is formed, a trigger signal is outputted to a brake control means 4 to stop the booting operation. |
