PURPOSE:To reduce the occurrence possibility of bubble at the time of supplying a sample liquid by providing a hydrophilic polymer layer on an electrode system, dripping a solution containing an oxidizing/reducing enzyme thereon, and drying it at more than one temperature level thereby improving the smoothness on the surface of a reaction layer. CONSTITUTION:A silver paste is screen-printed on an insulating substrate 1 to form leads 2, 3. A measuring electrode 4 and an insulating layer 6 are then printed using a conductive carbon paste and an insulating paste, respectively. Finally, a counter electrode 5 is printed using a conductive carbon paste. A 0.5wt.% aqueous solution of hydrophilic polymer carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) is then developed on the electrode system comprising the measuring electrode 4 and the counter electrode 5 thus forming a CMC layer. An aqueous solution of lactic oxidase (LOD) containing an oxidizing/reducing enzyme is then developed thereon and dried at 30 deg.C for 5min in a hot air drier. The temperature is then raised up to 50 deg.C in 5 min thus forming a reaction layer 7. When the aqueous solution of LOD is dripped, the surface of the electrode system is coated only with the CMC. |
