PURPOSE:To prevent quality deterioration and trouble caused by the flutter of a plate by arranging a pressure dropping device as well as forming the outer periphery of at least one roll out of a pair of upper and lower seal rolls into a soft elastic body, so as to make a pinch roll capable of reliably pinching a metallic strip in passing. CONSTITUTION:Rubber linings are applied to a seal roll pair, and an upper seal roll 1 is raised by a raising actuator 3, and a threading bar and a metallic strip 5 are guided by a threading guide 4. When the upper seal roll 1 is made under low pressure, the strip 5 is pinched by both rolls 1, 2, and the passing range of jet air flow is only a seal roll clearance part 7. Moreover, when pressure dropping force of the raising actuator 3 of the upper seal roll 1 is increased, the jet air flow is further decreased. Thereby, in a flat path, trouble or quality deterioration caused by the flutter can be prevented. |
