Gear change mechanism for multi-speed bicycle hub

The gear changer comprises elements, for controlling sun wheels (29), and which have at least one control cam bar (7). The cam is located in a longitudinal groove which is coaxial with the hub shaft (2). At least one ratchet (28) of the ratchet operated gear changer is engaged or disengaged by control movements. The ratchets are held pivoted in the sun wheels and are pretensioned by a ratchet spring. They are supported on rails, which are located coaxially on the hub shaft, between the longitudinal grooves. The grooves have a semi-circular profile, in which the control cam bars turn. Angular end positions define first and second changer positions.
