MICROCAPSULES WITH WALLS MADE OF CROSS-LINKED PLANT POLYPHENOLS, AND COMPOSITIONS CONTAINING SAME

Cross-linked plant polyphenol-based microcapsules are disclosed. The microcapsules are prepared by the interfacial cross-linking of plant polyphenols, particularly flavonoids. When added to a composition such as a cosmetic, pharmaceutical, dietetic or food composition, said microcapsules prevent any deterioration of the composition, especially any change in the colour thereof, without affecting the activity of the plant polyphenols, particularly the flavonoids, especially the anti-radical and anti-oxidative activity thereof.
