<p>Anti-theft device for a steering wheel column, for use, for example, in a motor vehicle, of the type including a steering shaft (1) rotatably mounted in a column body (2) and means (6) for rotatably locking the shaft relative the body. Said means (6) are inserted between the shaft and the column body and are moveable by means of a locking mechanism (62, 65) secured to said body, between an operational locking position and a retracted position for releasing the shaft from the body. The invention is characterized by means (70) for preventing the locking means (6) from shifting to their retracted position, if any attempt is made to force said locking mechanism.</p> |
