The appts. includes a weighscale (4) connected by a data line (7) and a pluggable connector (8) to a display unit (1) with alphanumeric input and function keys (3). A switch (5) is concealed behind a sealed flap. Individual calibration data in the weighscale cannot be varied unless the seal is broken and the switch reset to its alternative position. The display may show either nett or gross wt., preset tare wt., number of piece parts weighed, out-of-tolerance wt., or the selection of a particular one of several connected weighscales.
