PURPOSE:To quickly execute diagnosis at the time of site adjustment by copying the stored contents of a main memory device in a current system to a main memory device in a stand-by system by a diagnostic command and diagnosing respective connecting devices by the main memory devices of the current and stand-by systems. CONSTITUTION:This diagnostic system consists of central control devices(CCs) 2, 12, main memory devices(MMs) 1, 11, channel control devices(CHCS) 3, 13, etc., and is provided with duplicated current and stand-by systems and the MM 1 in the current system stores a diagnostic program. When the diagnisis of devices connected so as to belong to respective CCs 2, 12 in the current and stand-by systems by the CCs 2, 12 based upon specified connections is commanded from terminals 4, 14 at the time of site adjustment after initialization, the contents stored in the MM 1 are copied to the MM 11 and the devices connected so as to belong to respective CCs 2, 12 by the CCs 2, 12 can be simultaneously diagnosed. Thereby diagnosis indicated in plural patterns can be simultaneously executed and both the current and stand-by systems can be completely operated only by twice of diagnosis in operation. |
