<p>Dialkyl ketones having 3 to 8 carbon atoms are stabilized by contacting them with an inhibitor selected from ascorbic acid, citric acid, lecithin, sodium hexametaphosphate, 2-butanone oxime, sodium diethyldithiocarbamate and mixtures of these with di-t.-butyl-p-cresol in sufficient amount to inhibit formation of colour and acidity. 0.0001 to 1 wt. per cent of inhibitors may be used.</p> |
