Arrangement for producing warm/compressed air

The warm/compressed air producing arrangement has a casing containing a fan, an IC engine, a silencer and an exhaust gas heat exchanger. The air passes directly through an IC engine. The IC engine and the other components are so arranged that as much as possible of the exhaust gas heat from the engine is converted by the air flow from the fan into pressure and heat of the air being delivered. Where there is little demand for the heating function, the system can operate without an exhaust gas heat exchanger as such, since the silencer acts as a heat exchanger in its oven right. If air quality is not important, the exhaust gas can go directly to the fan.
