TEF-1 ISOFORMS AND USES THEREOF

Isoforms of transcription enhancer factor 1 (TEF-1) are described. The isoforms may be used for the differential regulation of genes which contain upstream TEF-1 binding sites. Thus, TEF-1 and its isoforms may be used to directly or indirectly regulate transcription of genes linked to the TEF-1 binding sites, such as genes which are expressed in cardiac tissue.
