A vehicle tyre has a tread profile adjustable according to road conditions and a means (4) for adjusting the profile. A process for varying the tyre profile channels from a normal dry driving condition to an aquaplaning resisting condition on wet roads and vice versa involves a controlled broadening or restriction of the cross-section of the drainage channels while running.
