A bag carrying handle comprises two sleeves (2, 4), each having a longitudinal slit (3, 5). The sleeves are relatively rotatable between a position in which the slits (3, 5) are in register to form a slot to receive handles of plastics bags and a position in which the slits are out of register to close the slot and thereby prevent the bags falling out of the handle. <IMAGE>
