The container (1) comprises a rigid square frame with loading opening in the top and delivery opening in the base (18) which can be closed by a two part closure device (20,21). The outer arms (28,29) of the two closure halves (20,21) running down from each connecting point (30) have facing slide faces (37,38) whereby the slide faces of the outer arms (28,29) mounted on the same cross wall (3) of the container diverge wedge-shaped downwards at least in their lower area. The two closure halves can be attached to common rotary axes (30,31). The slide faces of the outer arms on the same cross wall can intersect underneath the common rotary axis independent of the opening position of the closure device (19).
