Machine tool with exchangeable machining heads

The machine tool has a tool spindle in the machining head (10) couplable with the spindle (9) and a bearer for the machining head located rotatably and lockably on the spindle beam or spindle thruster. A controllable coupling is fitted between the spindle and the bearer, and a controllable locking between the bearer and the machining head. The spindle beam or spindle thruster (8) and the bearer each have a plain notch toothing for counter-sided locking, that of the bearer being concentric to that of the spindle beam or spindle thruster. The counter-sided locking occurs by a controlled, axially displaceable ring with corresp. counter plain notch toothing.
