摘要 |
Digital images of fragments are created. Characteristic features of the fragments, e.g. texture, direction of contour, local and global angles of corners, are produced using standard image processing techniques. The digital images and their characteristic features are stored in a database. The characteristics of the stored fragments are used to determine which of them are likely to be neighbouring pieces, judging by the similarity of their outlines. The fragments are sorted into an ordered priority list according to their probability of being neighbours. Those fragments with the highest priority, which attain a minimum similarity threshold, are judged capable of fitting together. The digital image and the collated data sec of acceptably matching fragments are then automatically put together. |
